About Captain Clean Auto Wash

Touchless Automatic Car Wash and Self Service Car Wash With Credit Card Acceptance

Captain Clean Auto Wash is a car wash in Newport News, Virginia. It is listed at 1055 Harpersville Rd, Newport News, VA 23601, which places it among the local businesses of Newport News that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

In Newport News, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Virginia, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open Open 24 hours. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Captain Clean Auto Wash at (757) 871-0499; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Automatic touchless wash did an exceptional job removing bugs after my 500 mile trip. Car wash also accepts cash and prices are reasonable.

Photo was taken at the Walmart up the road just minutes after wash. Your bays are $4 bucks just to start, I had to spend 12 bucks due to the short wash time. I’ve been supporting this car wash since 2023. The foam brushes are pretty much trash, it takes a while for the soap to transition into rinse water. To try to discredit me as a customer is crazy work. I don’t feel the need for any resolution. Your response is the same as your car wash TRASH! Be blessed.

I've been trying to reach my bank to dispute the charge because I went there to get my car cleaned I used all of the spot free no stain soaps and when my car was completely done and dried I promise you will look worse than how I brought it I don't know what kind of chemicals and products they're putting on the cars but they're not saying what they're actually doing I have spots all over my car so that can't be spot-free soap it just can't be. I will never go here again

I’ve been to this establishment twice. It’s a little dated, but it does the job. I did have an issue where I had forgotten to hit the off button and was charged $25 for my wash. I contacted the owner who immediately responded to my email and refunded me accordingly. I’m very pleased with his professionalism and courtesy.

Went for the touch less wash. The sound from the payment console was much like the teacher in the old Charlie Brown cartoons. Almost impossible to comprehend. Wash was thorough, which is what I came for, but the car was heavily water spotted when it dried. If you need to get the winter salt from your car, it's prolly fine, otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.
